Genuine Opportunities at Tyreel Reduction…

BREEDERS will be given a rare opportunity to purchase some of the best broodmares in Australasia when the famed Tyreel Stud offers 12 broodmares and two weanlings at next month’s William Inglis 2008 Australian Weanling and Breeding Stock Sale.
“This is a Reduction Sale to settle the estate of Jim Fleming,” Stud Manager John Vincent said.
“Tyreel are renowned for selling our horses and this Reduction Sale is very transparent. These horses are all for genuine sale,” he added.
Tyreel Stud has earned the title of the leading boutique stud operation in Australia on the back of Jim Fleming’s philosophy of breeding from the best bloodlines available.
The broodmares for sale represent that philosophy as each has the proven pedigree and racetrack performance needed to become part of the Tyreel band.
One of the real highlights of the draft is MILANOVA who was a Group Three winner in Australia and twice Group One placed. She is also a full sister to Champion European 2YO Holy Roman Emperor being by Champion sire Danehill from a daughter of the immortal Secretariat and the blue hen Fanfreluche from the family of top sires Flying Spur and Encosta De Lago.
This is a pedigree that would be amongst the best at any sale in the world and is a licence to print money.
Her a yearling colt by Dehere (pictured top right) made $775,000 at Easter this year. She was served by Encosta De Lago last spring and is believed to be in foal.
Group One winner and producer SYDNEY’S DREAM is another star mare entered in the sale. A Group One winner in South Africa, she is a daughter of legendary sire Bletchingly and the dam of star sprinter and young sire Charge Forward.
Her Redoute’s Choice filly (pictured bottom right) sold for $1m at Easter and she was again served by the champion stallion last spring and is believed to be in foal.
Other Group One winning mares entered are BONANOVA, DASHING EAGLE and HULA ANGEL.
BONANOVA was an outstanding racemare by champion broodmare sire Star Way from the Klairessa family that has left us the likes of Octagonal, Don Eduardo, Viking Ruler, Shower Of Roses and her own brother Telesto.
She is also the dam of stakes winner Bonaichi and the promising Prima Nova.
She is believed to be in foal to Lonhro.
DASHING EAGLE was one of the best 3YO fillies seen in the past 20 years with Group One wins in the Flight Stakes and One Thousand Guineas as well as a number of Group Two and Three wins.
She is believed to be in foal to hot sire More Than Ready.
HULA ANGEL is an imported mare who was purchased by Jim Fleming as a yearling in the Ireland and raced in the UK where she won the Group One Irish One Thousand Guineas.
She is by top broodmare sire Woodman from a half sister to Champion 3YO and sire Spend A Buck.
Her Sadler’s Wells son The Fist of God was a winner in the UK last weekend and is stakes placed while her Rock Of Gibraltar colt sold at Goffs for 250,000 Euros.
She has a Redoute’s Choice weanling colt in the paddock at Tyreel and that proven cross has already produced Miss Finland.
She is now believed to be in foal to the exciting young sire Elusive Quality. |

Group One South Australia Oaks winner from English Wonder and a half sister to Dr Grace from the family of Calveen and Kosi Bay).
